The following topics are likely to be covered: basic optimisation techniques; model microfoundations; basic models of the business cycle; approximation techniques; simple solution methods; univariate (long-run) modelling: cointegration; construction and estimation of small multivariate econometric models; forward-looking models and dealing with expectations; and model analysis and evaluation.
