| Subject: | The theme for this year's Workshop will be "DSGE Models for Emerging Market Economies". Emerging markets exhibit characteristics intrinsic to their state and pace of development. These include relatively less developed financial markets, dependence on remittance flows, exposure to swings in commodity prices, large informal sectors, less mature institutions and rigidities in the labor market. Insights into the performance of DSGE models in terms of forecasting and simulation analysis under these conditions would be useful. The organizing committee will give priority to policy-oriented research on the main theme. However, other papers on central bank modeling will be welcome.
