Subject:This seminar offers participants with expertise in this field the opportunity to review and discuss the many aspects of resolution regimes, including the latest policy developments and operational challenges in a domestic and a cross-border context. Topics: - a stock-take on the implementation of the G20 Financial Stability Board’s (FSB) Key Attributes of Effective Resolution Regimes for Financial Institutions, with a focus on resolution tools, and recovery and resolution planning for systemically important financial institutions (SIFIs); - an update on the Key Attributes Assessment Methodology, which will be used in FSB country peer reviews and by the IMF and the World Bank in their FSAP and ROSC programmes; - the European Union’s new framework for financial crisis management and resolution; - resolution strategies for cross-border SIFIs, with discussions on ‘top-down’ bail-in and multiple-point of entry strategies; and - the resolution of non deposit-takers, eg financial market infrastructures.
