| Subject: | This workshop will investigate the determinants and evolution of gender gaps, by focusing on two promising prospects: the institutional design, which if appropriately set- can allow different outcomes to reflect only differences in abilities rather than in gender, as shown for instance in experiments, and the analysis of historical factors, which help identifying the origins of gender gaps and gender culture. Both theoretical and empirical contributions will be considered. As the gender gap itself is a multidimensional, complex indicator, the workshop promotes the participation and interaction of researchers with different disciplinary background.
