Bank for International Settlements (BIS)
This organization is something of a bank for central banks (that is,
they offer banking services to central banks). The also provide forums
for discussions between central banks and others, study monetary
policy, and assist in various international financial transactions. In
conjunction with the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, it
operates the Financial Stability Institute (FSI). It also hosts the
Financial Stability Forum (FSF) (which deals with "international
financial stability through information exchange and international
co-operation" and the International Association of Insurance
Supervisors (IAIS) (which "represents insurance supervisory
authorities of some 100 jurisdictions").
They offer papers, as well as reports and data on international banking
and financial markets (including securities and derivatives).
